According to the latest news reports, Henry Cuellar still will not commit to voting for impeachment.

He is the only Democrat in the Texas Delegation even considering a vote against impeachment.

The facts of this case are straightforward. Donald Trump must be impeached on both articles of impeachment. His attempted bribery scheme and obstruction of Congress cannot stand within our democracy.

Voting against impeachment means you are complicit in Trump’s corruption.

Last week, we circulated a petition calling on Rep. Cuellar to express support for the articles of impeachment.

Yet again, my opponent is choosing to act in his own political interest ahead of representing our community. Trump lost our district by 20 points in 2016 — The people of TX-28 deserve true representation in Washington.

It’s time to elect a real Democrat in South Texas.
