18 donors needed now to unlock $5,000

In a devastating decision earlier this summer, the Supreme Court threatened our ability to protect birds, people, and the places we need by curtailing the ability of the EPA to regulate carbon pollution and respond to the climate crisis—safeguards that have meant the difference between survival and extinction for many bird species.

It’s not too late to save the birds we love, but birds are telling us we must act now. Start a dependable monthly gift right away, and be one of the 18 donors who unlock an additional $5,000 to protect the birds you love. ([link removed])

With over 3 billion birds lost in the past 50 years, and as climate change and habitat loss now threaten two-thirds of North American bird species’ very survival, it’s clear: we’re in the midst of a bird emergency.

For migratory birds like the Scarlet Tanager that are already vulnerable to habitat loss, fire weather, spring heat waves, drought, and urbanization, the unregulated pollution brought about by the Supreme Court’s decision could be deadly.

Despite this ruling, Audubon will continue to protect birds today and tomorrow, no matter what happens—and we need you with us.

A monthly gift is the very best way to protect birds for the long term. ([link removed]) You’ll provide steady, dependable support that Audubon can count on as we defend birds through empowering education, committed advocacy, and expert on-the-ground conservation—all driven by more than a century of pioneering science.

With you by our side, we will continue pushing for sweeping climate legislation like the recent Inflation Reduction Act, advancing Natural Climate Solutions as a science-based approach to help restore and maintain natural ecosystems, and much more.

We’re counting on 18 friends to join us as monthly donors today to power our best work. Will you be one of them? Right now, every gift helps unlock $5,000 more to protect birds, thanks to a group of generous donors. ([link removed])

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
