Friend --

No one is above the law, not even the president -- at least, that's how our democracy should work.

Right now, House Democrats are doing the right thing holding Trump accountable by issuing articles of impeachment. Without a doubt, Trump abused his power by trying to withhold federal aid in order to pressure another country to investigate a political rival.

And it's clear that when he got caught, he tried to hide the truth every step of the way.

But we also know that congressional Republicans, including Joni Ernst, are ruthlessly defending Trump, that they are putting loyalty to him before their duty to our country.

Add your name if you support the efforts to hold Trump accountable for his abuse of power:

This isn't about partisan games.

This is about whether we have a functioning democracy that will hold our leaders accountable when they abuse their power and try to rig our elections.

If we fail this test, we don't just embolden Trump to lie, cheat, and steal. If we fail, it sends a message to the entire world that democracy doesn't work -- that it can be hijacked by crooks and tyrants.

That's why we need to send a message to every leader in Congress that we expect them to fulfill their oaths and hold the president accountable, regardless of political party.

Tell Joni Ernst, Mitch McConnell, and every Democrat and Republican on Capitol Hill to do the right thing:

Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, independent -- no matter your political identity, I hope you'll join me and demand Congress do their job and hold Trump accountable.

Thank you,
