Jack, it's recently come to light that the right-wing nonprofit Marble Freedom Trust received a dark money donation of $1.6 BILLION.

This one donation is a big f'ing deal. Heading into the 2022 midterm elections, Republican fundraising has been lackluster, falling behind their Democratic counterparts. Not only could this donation give Republicans a boost in spending heading into the November election, but an amount this astronomical could sustain conservative organizations for years to come.

The founder of Marble Freedom Trust is Leonard Leo, the former leader of the Federalist Society. He has advocated and helped bankroll the Republican battles against abortion access, voting rights and climate change. He also masterminded the right-wing takeover of our federal courts and the Supreme Court. Justice Clarence Thomas went as far as to call Leonard "the number three most powerful person in the world."

The most powerful action you can take right now to stand up to Republicans and their dark money donations is to support the work Daily Kos does day in and day out. Please become a sustaining donor to Daily Kos by giving $5 or more a month.
