Friends – across the country, reproductive rights and women’s rights are under attack like never before. Right-wing extremists are doing anything they can to overturn Roe v. Wade, and Republican state legislatures are trying to effectively ban women’s access to abortion.

I’m proud to be one of the many Democratic AGs fighting to protect access to abortion and stop Trump’s anti-choice agenda. Because DAGA just became the first-ever Democratic campaign committee to exclusively support candidates who will protect abortion access, we can be sure that right-wing extremists will double down on their efforts to defeat us at the ballot box.

I know what it takes to win a close election, friends, because I won in 2018 by fewer than 5,000 votes, and I learned an important lesson: Democrats don’t need to compromise our stance on reproductive rights – the vast majority of Americans are already with us. Reproductive rights weren’t just an issue in my race, they were THE issue. Voters needed to trust that I would fight for them as AG. 

But by taking this bold stance first on the national stage, Democratic AGs are sure to be attacked by right-wing groups who will stop at nothing to turn back the clock on our progress. The truth is that pro-choice Democrats can’t take on the dark-money-backed Republican machine without you by our side.

If Democrats are going to have the chance to elect pro-choice AGs in 2020 who will defend reproductive rights and access to abortion, we’re going to need every grassroots supporter with us in this pivotal moment. That’s why we need to know where you stand:
