We’re at a turning point in our country. Even though Democrats have a thin majority, Republicans are using the filibuster to block important bills in the Senate.

50/50 is not enough. It’s clear we must expand the Democratic Senate majority to abolish the filibuster and make the real progress American people want. I believe Tim Ryan is a great opportunity to do just that.

I was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. That’s actually where I got my start in music – performing in my church choir. I will always have a special place in my heart for the Buckeye State.

Ohio’s U.S. Senate race in November is such an important fight, which is why I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines. And you can’t either.

National Republicans and their billionaire backers are already spending upward of $80 MILLION to keep Ohio red and ensure Mitch McConnell retakes total control of the Senate.

If that happens, friend, voting rights, a higher minimum wage, affordable health care, high-quality education for all our kids, and more are in jeopardy. I don’t want to think about the damage that Republicans could do if they regain their grip on our government.

But the good news is if we win Ohio, Democrats have a better chance at holding and expanding our Senate majority. Even better news? Tim is neck and neck with JD Vance in the polls.
