Three transitions, one opportunity to transform

Momentum for change across the sustainability movement is building, but will we act fast enough and go far enough? For too long, our global challenges have intensified faster than the movement’s readiness and ability to respond. For too long, interventions have been short-term and siloed - ultimately failing to address the root causes of the issues we face.

We can no longer afford to fall short. That’s why Forum for the Future is resetting its ambition and honing our focus on three potentially game-changing transitions already in play: how we produce and consume food; how we produce energy; the role and impact of business in society. We’ll support influential changemakers across the food, energy and market systems to drive deep transformation in the way the world works.

Our vision? Not only a sustainable future, but a just and regenerative one.

Coming soon: Forum’s 2023-2025 strategy, For a just and regenerative future.

Re-imagining future value chains

The supply chain crisis presents an opportunity to reinvent value chains in ways that address critical social issues and long-standing inequities, while also building resilience and adaptive capacity. Here, Forum's Associate Director of Sustainable Value Chains and Livelihoods, Charlene Collison, explores how companies can take it.

Are you interested in partnering with us on re-imagining the future of value chains?

Bringing together diverse perspectives from the marginalised to the mainstream, Forum is developing an initiative that will explore the future context for agricultural value chains alongside alternative models that can enable them to survive and thrive while embedding just and regenerative principles.
