The Chamber was proud to support the Metropolitan Park site plan including sending a letter of support to the Arlington County Board, as well as Chamber Government Affairs Manager Scott Pedowitz testifying at Saturday’s Board meeting. The Chamber spoke in favor of the site’s 2.1 million office square feet and 69,000 retail square feet to be an economic engine for Arlington. Additionally, the site plan will offer many community benefits, including improvements in affordable housing, transportation, and environmental sustainability. This Saturday, the County Board approved the site plan to develop the first phase of Amazon’s new headquarters at Metropolitan Park in Pentagon City. As we have seen over the past 13 months, Amazon is committed to building a strong community, and Arlington has taken the next step in this partnership by approving the Metropolitan Park site plan.

Please join us in congratulating Olivia McKay on her recent promotion to Operations Manager!

Olivia first joined the Chamber team in August 2018 as Operations Coordinator. You know her as the smiling face you see at registration or when you walk in the Chamber doors. Throughout her tenure with the Chamber, she has continued to excel in her areas of responsibility, and grow in her role to take on various projects, such as the first ever Arlington Restaurant Week and intern management.
