Summer Fundraising Campaign - Day 11
In case you missed it, I am re-sending my email from yesterday.
It details a CRUCIAL programme to push back against the Abortion Empire, at a time when they are already reeling from the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Now is the time to strike back, and to strike back decisively.
Project Truth takes the pro-life message to the streets, bypassing the biased mainstream media and talking directly with the men and women who will make all the difference.
We will only end abortion when people up and down the country are asking their family, friends and neighbours:
“Have you heard about abortion? Do you know what they are doing to babies? Have you seen how they treat mothers?”
But how will they know, unless SPUC goes out on to the streets and tells them?
To scale up this project and bring the pro-life message to the whole of the United Kingdom, we need to raise an extra £70,000 this year.
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF SPUC’S SUMMER ONLINE APPEAL.
THANK YOU for playing your part in raising an outstanding £41,562.69 in just 11 days!
That leaves just £8,437.31 of the £50,000 that we need to raise through this summer email campaign, if we are to secure the expansion of Project Truth and other crucial projects in the next year.
Will you give £20 – £200 – £2,000 – 5,000 – or whatever level of donation is right for you today – to help unborn babies (and their mothers) escape the horror of abortion?

Dear Supporter,
The road to victory is never smooth or easy.
But it is an honour and a privilege to be travelling it with YOU.
You, and every SPUC supporter, should be immensely proud of the role you have played (and are playing) in this long and arduous battle to save babies and end abortion.
I would like to take a moment to tell you more about the great impact YOUR gifts are having on the lives of babies and mothers.
Life-saving action made possible by SPUC supporters
This year’s Project Truth Summer Roadshow has just been brought to a stunningly successful conclusion.
I will let Maria, one of the young people who participated, tell you more:
"As this was my first Project Truth, I was worried that the Scottish public would respond badly to our campaign, due to the media’s unfair portrayal of the pro-life movement as ‘hateful’ and ‘anti-women’.
“I was pleasantly surprised to experience quite the opposite. I had many great discussions with women and men alike, both young and old.
“Whether it was agreeing on the awful injustice of legal abortion up until birth for babies with disabilities, or signing our petition to urge the government to properly respond to the worrying statistics surrounding coerced abortion, since the implementation of DIY abortion pills, many discussions lead to common ground.
“We handed out leaflets offering free support for women in crisis pregnancies, as well as women who had previously had an abortion.
“I spoke with many women who felt at the time that abortion was their only option, men who felt pressured into remaining silent on this human rights issue, and passionate pro-choicers…
“But the vast majority of people I spoke to hadn’t properly considered their own stance on abortion before, instead just going with what the media told them they must believe.
“The majority of the public are confused and ill-informed about abortion and the detrimental effects it has, not only for the unborn baby, but also for the mother, father, siblings, grandparents...
“Therefore, I urge anyone reading not to shy away from the ‘dreaded abortion debate’. It is exactly these discussions with our friends and family, where the TRUTH surrounding abortion is revealed."
Maria and the other young people would like me to say THANK YOU for making this culture-shaping initiative possible.
We will end abortion when ordinary people up and down the country are asking their family, friends and neighbours: “Have you heard about abortion? Do you know what they are doing to babies? Have you seen how they treat mothers?”
But how will they know, unless we go out on to the streets and tell them?
Through initiatives like Project Truth, SPUC is helping to raise up a new generation of pro-life activists who will have the skills and confidence needed to take win our country back for life.
But imagine if, instead of training 20 young pro-lifers, we could train 100?
And imagine if, instead of a one-week summer roadshow, we could do it for all 6 weeks of the summer holidays?
And imagine if, instead of visiting 9 towns and cities, we could bring this life-changing message to dozens across the country?
Even a one-week summer roadshow is a big investment. It takes months of preparation, not to mention badly-needed funds.
SPUC has developed a sophisticated youth training programme, which has already been used to train pro-lifers in other countries.
Yet at present, this whole operation is organised by one part-time member of staff.
We urgently need more staff to bring the pro-life message to a greater and greater number of our children and young adults. We cannot let them fall into the hands of the abortion industry, and its life-destroying propaganda.
The finance team have advised me that if we want to scale this project up, we need an extra £70,000 this year.
Will you donate to help us take the pro-life message to the heart of the UK’s major cities?

Supporters’ response to SPUC’s summer fundraising appeal has been remarkable.
I would like to say “thank you” to everyone who has contributed so generously to this fundraising appeal over this past week or so.
Your vital contribution is fuelling the fightback for our babies.
With just ONE DAY left to run, another £8,437.31 is needed to get us over the line and secure the funding needed to implement our urgent campaign against censorship zones in Scotland and Northern Ireland, our grassroots expansion, Project Truth – and the many other lifesaving projects which YOU make possible.
If everyone reading this email today gave £15, we would certainly reach our target. And gifts of £30, £50, or £100 today would help to transform our work in the months ahead and secure permanent change for babies in our country.

Thank you for your tremendous support.
Yours in defence of life
John Deighan
Chief Executive
PS – You know well that supporters like YOU have played a starring role in the success of SPUC’s past political campaigns, educational outreach programmes and pro-life court actions.
These actions have saved thousands of babies’ lives over the past 5 years alone.
But the Abortion Empire doesn’t sleep – and neither does SPUC.
Our powerful and wealthy opponents NEVER miss the opportunity to strike; and when they do, MORE babies die.
We must go on the offensive.
And with abortion killings at record levels, we have 9,747,567 reasons to fight back – that’s the number of abortions in the UK since the passing of the Abortion Act up until TODAY.
That's an average of 615 unborn children killed a day, according to 2020 statistics.
This number will keep growing higher and higher if the Northern Ireland regulations are not struck down, and if censorship zones are imposed around abortion facilities in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
But we cannot make progress in this fight without your continued financial support.
Please join the fightback for our babies TODAY.
