John,
I just released my environmental plan to protect Georgia’s abundant resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and leverage the economic benefits of advanced energy to secure a more resilient future.
I have traveled across this state — including a trip to Coastal Georgia just this week — and have witnessed firsthand how climate change has put Georgians’ lives and livelihoods at risk.
Whether it's a farmer struggling with a less stable climate in Plains, or a family facing growing threats from hurricanes and rising sea levels in Savannah — all Georgians deserve a governor who has a plan to transition the state into a more sustainable future.
Because right now under Brian Kemp, Georgia continues to lag behind other states in taking action on clean energy and energy efficiency.
Our continued failure to act will compromise an estimated 25,000-40,000 jobs over the next decade and put hundreds of thousands of Georgians' lives at risk.
That’s why as governor, I will have a plan to provide resources in the most vulnerable areas, increase access to training for advanced-energy jobs and safeguard the health and preservation of Georgia’s natural resources.
I will ensure families and businesses benefit from new opportunities as Georgia enhances its resilience and environmental protections.
Thank you,
Stacey
P.S. I couldn’t resist sharing this photo from my marsh tour in Savannah on Monday. We must protect these critical natural resources — can you chip in $5 right now to make sure we can?
