The Young Democrats of America (YDA) are excited to invite you to our Youth Reception on the sidelines of the Democratic National Committee Summer Meeting.

Our reception will be taking place at Public House National Harbor (199 Fleet St, Oxon Hill, MD 20745) on September 8, 2022, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM ET.

For 90 years, YDA has been the voice of the youth vote in the Democratic Party. Yet year after year, our voices are not brought to the table during strategic discussions. YDA is determined to change that starting this year. Our leadership and membership are both dedicated to upholding our democracy while advancing our progressive ideals and policies. We know that we have what it takes to make a difference in this country. We are the leaders that we have been waiting for.

With continued Republican attacks on American democracy in 2022, the mobilization of the youth vote will be more important than ever. If Democrats want to hold onto the House and Senate, mobilizing our nation’s new largest voting block, Millennials and Gen Z, must be a strategic priority for Democrats.

As the nation's largest partisan youth-led political organization, we operate on an integrated leadership development model, civic engagement, and issue advocacy. But even with that, we can not win in 2022 unless we can engage young and inactive voters, and we’ll need resources and support to execute our goals for this organization.
