Earlier this month, Senate Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act. After a vote in the House, President Biden signed the bill into law.

It’s hard to put into words how big of a deal this bill is. In my very first Senate race, I promised I would fight to end the ban on Medicare being able to negotiate lower drug prices. It’s been a decade of fighting Big Pharma, but we got it done. This will lower medication costs for 46 million seniors and many more.

With this bill we will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2030, getting us closer to achieving a carbon neutral economy by 2050.

And the Inflation Reduction Act will significantly reduce our national debt. I call that a win-win-win!
