Today is Ukrainian Independence Day! I'm the only Ukrainian-born refugee immigrant running for Congress, so this day is very special to me.

I grew up in Soviet Ukraine and I'm so fortunate that I was able to come to America, go through the public school system in Baltimore, and serve in the national defense/intelligence community.

Simply put, I was able to create my own American Dream.

Now I'm running to help people in Northern Virginia achieve their own American dream.
