**For Dreamers, Pressure Remains on Congress**
**WASHINGTON, D.C.**- The Biden administration has finalized a
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals regulation
and plans to publish the final rule Tuesday.
The following is a quote from
**Laurence Benenson, Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at the
National Immigration Forum**:
"This rule is a positive step to protect hundreds of thousands of
Dreamers, who contribute to our country in so many ways. But it is not a
permanent solution. DACA continues to be under threat in the courts, and
only Congress can provide the certainty of legislation.
"Dreamers are vital to our economy and communities. Certainty about
their future should not volley between administrations and courts.
Americans support solutions from Congress this year
.
Republicans and Democrats must act."
