I want to thank everyone who participated in the survey over the last couple of weeks. Many of you responded by phone or by email, and the insight that you provided helps me better represent you in Congress. The response was supportive of the work I have been doing on your behalf. Almost 85% of you agree with my vote against the mislabeled Inflation Reduction Act that will allow 87,000 IRS agents to be hired and to audit the middle class; almost 90% of respondents approve of at least one of the measures I'm pushing to combat the border crisis, such as the Remain in Mexico policy, supporting border agents, and building the wall; and over 80% of you support my efforts in Congress to overturn Roe v. Wade. I'm thankful for your continued support and will continue to fight for our shared Mississippi values in Congress. President Biden's Buyout

President Biden announced his plan to "forgive" $10,000 in student loans for any graduate making less than $125,000. The truth is that this plan will not "forgive" student loans. Instead, it will transfer the cost of student loans to tax-paying Americans who chose not to attend college, worked to pay for their college degree, or paid off their student loans after they earned their degree. 

This $300 billion buyout will go to help the wealthiest households in America, while people who do not have student loans are left to foot the bill. There is nothing fair about raising the debt burden on hard-working Americans to pay off the debts of their fellow citizens. 

This is another step in a long history of wasteful, left-wing spending that we have seen from Washington, D.C., Democrats. It's this type of spending that created the inflation crisis and the recession that are impacting so many Americans. Liberals in Washington are recklessly spending your tax dollars to pay for their agenda, and their actions are going unchecked through Democratic control of the White House and both chambers of Congress. The American people are ready for change, and they deserve a responsible government that works to create a tax system that allows the people of our great nation to keep more of what they earn.
