John,
Last night, WFP candidates in New York and Florida faced off in a number of closely watched Democratic primaries. Here are some of the results:
In Florida, Maxwell Frost won his primary in Florida’s 10th Congressional district! He is the 8th WFP-endorsed, non-incumbent Congressional candidate to win his primary this election cycle. And if he goes on to win this seat (which is expected in this heavily-Democratic district), he would be the first Gen Z member of Congress.
In New York, WFP candidates for Congress and State Senate had a huge night up and down the ballot. Squad member Rep. Jamaal Bowman won his primary in the newly-drawn NY-16 against an opponent backed by the incumbent he ousted in 2020 and a ton of outside money. WFP-endorsed Rep. Jerry Nadler won his primary in the new NY-12.
And in the face of a flood of outside spending from real estate and billionaires, we expanded our progressive bloc in the State Senate. These candidates — some incumbents and some new challengers including long-time organizers — will represent working families and continue to push for much-needed change.
Together, we have once again shown what’s possible when we come together to fight for each other. And with 75 days to go until Election Day, now is no time to let up.
If we’re going to elect all of these people’s champions in November, we need to ramp up our resources for the General Election now. Please make a donation of $8 today to support our slate of progressive candidates across the country.

In New York’s 10th Congressional district primary, we saw once again how hard it can be to compete against millionaires and outside attacks.
At the last minute, AIPAC’s super PAC admitted to dumping almost half a million into dark money, anonymous attacks against WFP champion Yuh-Line Niou. All while, her opponent Dan Goldman — an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune worth over $250 million himself — dumped $5 million of his own money into this race.
Despite all of this, Yuh-Line still ended election night just a few hundred votes short.
Even though this year’s Democratic primaries have seen an unprecedented avalanche of right wing and corporate Super PAC spending, we’ve also seen that progressives can get outspent and still win.
But it’s one thing to be outspent 2-1 and something else entirely to get outspent 5-1 or 10-1. This kind of lopsided resource advantage is hard for anyone to overcome.
And with just over two months to go until November, we can fully expect that even more millions will be spent by shady super PACs to try and drown out the voices of our grassroots candidates.
We’re doing everything we can to fight back against super PACs and corporate billionaires, get our candidates across the finish line in November, and show that we can take on big corporate money and win. To do that, it’s really critical that we raise resources now. Will you chip in $8 to help us pull off this major feat?
