John – Todd Young has been talking an awful lot about money lately – and not just talking – criticizing President Biden and the Democrats plans, saying they’re raising taxes for Americans and increasing the national debt.
But that's not the case – the Democrats in Washington have been working overtime to bring costs down for the average American household. Working to lower gas prices, taxes, medication and healthcare costs, and yes, ultimately the national debt.
If Todd Young were serious about helping lower costs for Hoosiers he would have voted yes to the Inflation Reduction Act; an act which will cap the price of insulin at $35 and lower other costs of medication, reduce taxes for middle class families, and work towards a greener future for our children.
But he didn’t.
If Todd Young really wants to talk about money, why don’t we ask him about the more than $30,000 in special interest money from Eli Lilly’s PAC, the company that makes insulin.
We need real action. Now. Not another politician who is in the pocket of special interest groups.
Mayor Tom McDermott knows how to get things done. He has spent the better part of the last two decades as Mayor of Hammond, getting things done. He knows the importance of a dollar and how to stretch that dollar as far as it can go.
McDermott is going to bring the same can-do, will-do attitude with him to the US Senate to make real, positive change for Hoosiers and Americans. Chip in $100, $50, $25, or $10 now to support a candidate of the people, who is going to lower costs for everyday, hardworking Hoosiers and Americans.
