Good afternoon John

Thank you to everyone who wrote to their candidates in the run up to the General Election to raise the issue of child poverty. It came up in a number of debates and interviews so you definitely helped keep it on the agenda. We are now making plans for engaging with Members of Parliament and the government over the coming months to ensure action is taken to reduce child poverty and improve the lives of children across the UK.

The Conservative party manifesto promised action on child poverty, universal credit, the benefit freeze and childcare. We’ll be pressing them to act on this and go much further to bring real change to families with children living in poverty. We will continue to be outspoken on behalf of children and families living in poverty, do ground-breaking research and challenge injustice in the courts when necessary.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best wishes,

Lizzie
