We can’t stand seeing news like this, John. Republicans say it streamlines voting and makes elections more “secure.” But we know it’s just an infuriating attempt to suppress voters.
And as this study shows, their voter suppression is disproportionately targeted toward voters of color.
It’s simple, John: When voting is not equally accessible for voters of color, we are not living up to the promise of a democracy that is free, fair, and accessible for all.
But we can – and must – do better.
The only way to make a democracy that truly works for everyone is to fight to help voters overcome barriers to voting so we have a strong enough movement to elect real, substantial change.
That’s why we’re coming to you.
Will you donate any amount to Power the Vote today? Your contribution will go directly toward our voter protection efforts to fund voter protection staff in key states across the country — and that’s how we’re going to fix this.

We Fund Voter Protection
In 2020, we ran the Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Program in Georgia, when the state flipped blue for the first time in nearly 30 years.
We pioneered a new model of voter protection, built on sustained investments and long-lasting relationships.
Now, we’re building on that success and adapting the Georgia model to fight voter suppression in other states.
