Good afternoon, John – You. Are. Winning! Earlier this summer, Texas Scorecard reported how grocery giant H-E-B was sponsoring a drag show for kids. We exposed the billionaire CEO of the company, Charles Butt, as a leftist who has been bankrolling crony politicians and the campaign against parents. (Butt has also been working to undermine election integrity and ballot security in the Lone Star State.) Our reporting went viral, with parents and activists talking loudly about the activities of H-E-B and the agenda of Mr. Butt. Today, Texas Scorecard learned H-E-B is apparently disassociating itself from the drag shows. In a report just filed this morning by Brandon Waltens, we learn that the San Antonio-based company is quietly rewriting history. H-E-B was a named sponsors of “Rainbow on the Creek,” an event back in June – along with Google, Tito’s Vodka, PNC Bank, and others. (That “family-friendly” event featured a drag queen story hour, a drag show performed by a group called the Hydrated Queer Kitties, and a gay pride parade.) Now, that June sponsor list has been updated – with the H-E-B logo conspicuously removed. Fortunately, the internet never forgets… Original listing: New listing: Showing up and speaking out is the key to winning… but it always starts with being informed. This is what we at Texas Scorecard do every day: show Texans where the fights are, and how they be effectively engaged citizens. Just as important, we celebrate the victories citizens have in driving culture and reclaiming government! But we must not let up! As Winston Churchill once wrote, “Success always demands a greater effort.” So, take a second to pat yourself on the back… and then let’s all get back in the fight for a better and stronger Texas! Respectfully yours,
P.S. – We can report on the activities of the left only with your help. We don’t take government grants, sell advertisements, or put our content behind a paywall. Will you make a special VICTORY donation today so we can do more? |
