Dear john,
This year through House Appropriations, I secured $28.7 million in community based federal funding for projects across Texas-28. This includes money for parks, emergency shelters, and law enforcement facilities. The funding will also support educational programs and medical centers.
My team and I are working hard to help South Texas grow and prosper. Together with your support, we will create a better place to live for future generations.

I attended the Children’s Advocacy Center of Laredo-Webb County dinner with special guest, ABC journalist John Quinoñes. John, a native South Texan, shared a little about his show, What Would You Do?, his upbringing, and some wonderful insights on doing the right thing. He emphasized how we, as a community, must always listen to our inner voice and do the right thing when it comes to children and those in need.

I joined my friends in Atascosa County for the City of Pleasanton’s Cowboy Heritage Days Parade to commemorate the 56th annual Cowboy of the Year Open Rodeo and Festival, celebrating South Texas’ rich culture. With food vendors, tractor rides, live music from artists like Michael Salgado and Jay Perez and more, this is a great way to bring Atascosa County families together.
