John,
My name is Josh Riley, and as of today, I am officially the Democratic nominee in New York’s 19th Congressional District. I’m asking you to pitch in $5 to kickstart our general election fund, and I’ll explain why your contribution is so vital.

Here’s why our district is so important: Cook Political Report is calling NY-19 a pure “toss-up”, and another top political reporter recently wrote, “in an election that could come down to a handful of seats, the 19th Congressional District could determine which party has ultimate control of the House of Representatives.”
There’s a lot on the line here, John.
So here’s the good news: the grassroots momentum (folks like you!) are on our side. Nearly two-thirds of our campaign’s contributions are $25 or less.
But, here’s the bad news: we had a long and drawn-out primary that forced us to deplete most of our war chest, and a GOP Super PAC aligned with Kevin McCarthy has already booked over $1 million in ads to attack me.
That’s why I’m reaching out, John. I’m rejecting corporate PAC money in my race, but I am counting on grassroots supporters like you to pitch in $5 at a time to fuel our campaign.
We need your help to win this toss-up seat and maintain a Democratic majority. Can pitch in $5 to help us start the general election on a strong note?

My Republican opponent is swimming in corporate PAC money — and he believes women’s healthcare decisions should be left to politicians, so we know what’s on the line here.
Let’s win this thing.
With gratitude & high hopes,
Josh Riley
