Down the street from where I live in Scranton is a house inscribed with a note: “From this house to the White House with the grace of God.”

This is the childhood home of my dear friend, President Joe Biden. An Irish Catholic kid from Scranton, Joe has never forgotten where he came from -- and it’s this upbringing that inspired his campaign promise to rebuild the backbone of America: the middle class.
