John, we did it.
Last night, our campaign fought against corporate conservative Democrats — and we won.
This victory would not have been possible without your support, John, and I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have in my heart for this movement. We proved that a movement rooted in peace and love really does win. From making donations to showing up (online and in person) for our campaign organizing efforts, you are what has powered this campaign to the heights we have achieved.
Last night, NY-16 sent a message to the establishment that our progressive vision is strong, and our determination is even stronger. Together, we showed that no matter what our opposition throws our way, we’re able to strive for better and thrive in our community.
Our movement has taken a monumental step in the right direction. But we still have so much more work to do, John. We still need to double down on our efforts to ensure that key legislation and federal support is provided to those who are most affected by our broken democracy. From student debt cancellation, passing the Green New Deal for Public Schools, to abolishing the filibuster and fighting for voting rights, we’re just at the start of our journey for progress.
This movement isn’t just about winning elections, but about delivering policy too. I won’t stop applying the pressure on our government to ensure that we’re all making the best decisions possible for our communities. I am honored and grateful to have you in this fight with me.
