It’s no secret that this is a dark time for many of us.
Republicans all across the country are launching attacks on our fundamental rights – from the right to reproductive freedom, to voting rights, to the right to be safe from gun violence in your community.
I’m working every day at the Department of Justice to safeguard these rights, not just in California but across the country, and to stand up to those who would use their power to limit that of others.

Despite everything, I’m deeply hopeful for the future. We’ve made a lot of progress, from implementing new protections for reproductive freedom in California – including for those from other states – to protecting our environment from harmful drilling, to launching new initiatives to ensure that no one in California is without a roof over their head at night.
But as we continue this work to make our state a place where all can thrive, I need your voice in the mix.
