Yesterday, national media reported that a conservative group received a donation of $1.6 BILLION from a single donor — a staggering amount that will be used to fuel Republicans for years to come.
According to CNN, the donation was made to Marble Freedom Trust, a nonprofit run by the co-chairman of the Federalist Society — a man who held huge influence over Donald Trump's far-right Supreme Court appointees.

This donation marks the largest single contribution of its type ever made public, but this is only the start. Earlier this year, a new Democratic super PAC was announced, named the "Mainstream Democrats PAC" with the explicit purpose of defeating progressive candidates.
The GOP and far-right groups have already made it clear that they're terrified of Cori's bold, progressive agenda, and they're prepared to spend record amounts of money to attack Cori — and our movement. The GOP started coming out against Cori in the Democratic primary, so we know that they are not going to let up anytime soon.
