This week marks 102 years since the 19th Amendment was adopted into law, giving women the right to vote. That year, over 8 million women voted for the first time.
Today, women’s rights, voting rights, civil rights, and equal rights are in danger. From the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade to the hundreds of voting restrictions that have been introduced across the country, the threats are real and they’re happening in plain sight.
We can honor the legacy of the suffragists who fought for our most fundamental rights by promoting a fair and inclusive democracy. By fighting for our right to privacy, autonomy, and dignity. And by making our voices heard at the ballot box this November. |
