anticipated with despair is now truly a nip-and-tuck battle for control
of Congress.

While expanding the Senate majority and maintaining their hold on the
House will be an uphill battle, the fallout from the overturning of Roe
v. Wade and the passage of a landmark climate bill have given Democrats
a fighting chance this fall.
