At the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, we support the science and technology that will make it possible to cure, prevent, or manage all diseases by the end of this century. Our approach is focused on funding scientific research to advance entire fields, doing the research that can’t be done in conventional environments, and building next-generation software and hardware tools to drive biological insights and generate more accurate and biologically important sources of data. We work closely with the scientific community to understand their challenges and build, share, and expand access to tools critical to biomedicine.
Here are some examples of tools and technologies we’ve helped build and support, which have the potential to speed up the process of scientific discovery in areas like infectious diseases, single-cell biology, and imaging ([link removed] ) .
