That's why, together, Congress passed a historic investment to cut the cost of prescriptions for seniors, lower energy costs, modernize the IRS to ensure wealthy corporations pay their fair share and more, all while reducing the national deficit.

The Inflation Reduction Act will lower costs for Pennsylvanians by:

• Lowering energy costs for families through direct rebates and tax credits
• Capping seniors' annual prescription drug costs at $2,000 and the price of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare recipients
• Not raising taxes on families making less than $400,000 a year.
• Ensuring corporations making over $1 billion annually pay a 15% minimum corporate tax
• Modernizing the IRS to replace outdated systems for faster processing of tax returns and ensuring billionaire corporations pay their fair share of taxes like everyone else.
• Investing in clean energy, reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030 and better protecting our community from extreme weather events
