ICYMI: Last week, in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade , a federal court removed its injuction protecting abortion access in North Carolina under the U.S. Constitution.

Right now, women in North Carolina still have a legal right to a safe and legal abortion under state law until 20 weeks. But if we want that right to continue to exist, we have to elect pro-choice Democratic legislators who share that view.

But if the GOP flips just THREE state House seats and wins legislative supermajorities in Raleigh this November, they’d be able to push through extreme anti-choice legislation that’s wrong for our state — even an outright ban on abortion, including in cases of rape or incest.
