It’s back to school season! And it’s Mary Gay’s birthday month, so we are talking all Mary Gay all the time. A couple weeks ago we shared some of her accomplishments this year and now we’re back — this time with Mary Gay’s education and child care work!
A career advocate for children, Mary Gay knows the importance of education in a child’s life. And she takes that responsibility seriously when she’s at work in Washington. 🎒 Voted for over $40 billion for the child care sector in the American Rescue Plan
📚 Secured grants for repairs and improvements to the Darby Free Library to keep the building in shape as it serves as a hub in the Darby community
🎶 Secured funding for the MusicMan Butterfly Buddy Program Project serving creative arts and social education to neurodiverse children and families in the region
Mary Gay believes that with every investment we make in education now, we give the next generation the best possible chance to succeed and thrive. As a former school board member, Mary Gay knows funding education, necessary resources, and safe learning environments is critical to the success of our children.
