John, I know that the news can be so discouraging and disheartening. It's hard to watch as the GOP systematically tries to strip us of every basic right and freedom that we've fought so hard to protect.

But we can't afford to give up now. And the good news is that we can fight back and protect our rights by electing leaders who will protect the most critical of freedoms.

That's why I'm asking you to donate $3 to help my friend Maggie Hassan win her reelection race in New Hampshire. Because I know she's been fighting for our rights for years, and we can't afford to lose her – not with so much on the line in the Senate.

The GOP is spending a seemingly unlimited amount of money to take back this crucial seat and control of the Senate.

But they don't have what we have: a powerful movement fueled by grassroots activists like you and me, ready to fight back.
