It’s been a promising start to a critical election season. This fall, the 50CAN Action Fund Network will be involved in over 40 elections, providing financial and tactical support and playing a key role in keeping voters informed about the choice they’ll have to make at the polls.
In the coming weeks, we will finish up primaries in Delaware and begin our focus on the November general election for all our states and cities. The political plan for each state is built around building a bipartisan working majority that will prioritize the five pillars of the 50CAN network’s Believe in Better policy framework.
To accomplish this, our teams will carry out a wide variety of political engagement including forums, grassroots, candidate surveys and direct support of candidates.
We plan to have more success stories to share in the coming months as a result of the elections, including increased working majorities for educational choice in Delaware, Georgia and Tennessee; a commitment to prioritizing education by the next Governor of Hawaii; and a board on New Mexico's Public Education Commission that will fairly and wisely allow the creation of new high-quality school options for the children of their state.
Thank you for your support as we take up the fight for students.
If you like what we do at 50CAN Action Fund, your support would go a long way to make these plans a reality. We have a fall goal of 50 new donors by October 1. Please consider donating today. Any donations will be used to put our staff directly into the field to work with elected officials and candidates on behalf of students in the states of our network.
