John – Today voters are headed to the polls in New York and Florida, where five Brand New Congress candidates are on the ballot in our final primaries this year.

While AOC is unopposed in today’s primary, BNC Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick are both up for re-election.
Jamaal sent shockwaves through the political establishment two years ago when he defeated a 32-year incumbent as a first-time candidate. Sheila took office in January of this year after BNC helped her win the FL-20 special election.
BNC’s Melanie D’Arrigo is up against a crowded primary for the open seat in Long Island (NY-03), while Brittany Ramos DeBarros is running against a conservative Democrat for the chance to unseat insurrectionist Nicole Malliotakis in Staten Island (NY-11).
We can’t afford to lose even one progressive seat in Congress, and if we’re really going to get things done we have to elect MORE bold progressives. Today’s primary is one of the last opportunities to define progressive power in Congress next year.
