John,
Donald Trump is scared.
His attacks against women, particularly women of color, are not only an extension of his racist ideology. They’re meant to distract us from his dangerous policies that hurt working people, and from his many impeachable offenses, which were on full display yesterday during Robert Mueller’s testimony.
This week, Trump lashed out at me again, calling me a “lunatic” and saying “there is no way she stands for the values of the people of Michigan.” Let’s show Trump what we stand for.
Pitch in today to support me and DFA, and help us send Trump a message: We will not back down in the face of your hate, which enables white nationalists and echoes their ideology. We will not forget the harm you have wrought on our brown and Black communities. We will fight your dangerous policies that put Big Business over working people and our environment. We will hold you accountable for your impeachable and criminal offenses, and your hateful agenda that tears families apart and subjects children to unimaginable cruelty. And we will keep fighting for equity and justice. We aren't going anywhere.

Since Trump began running for President, I feared that his actions would threaten the foundations of our government. Back in August 2016, I was thrown out of a Detroit Trump rally for demanding that he read the Constitution, calling out his plans for a Muslim ban in particular.
And 3 years later? Trump has implemented his Muslim ban. He’s systematically harming immigrants who call America home and those who seek asylum and a better life for their families here. These are just a few of the many ways he's violated and disrespected our Constitution.
Unlike Trump, I believe in and embody democratic representation.
Our families in Michigan’s 13th District and across the country are sick and tired of politicians who use hate and division to advance their greedy agendas. I was elected to stand up to the billionaire bullies and to ensure that the voices of my district―the third poorest congressional district in the country―are represented in the halls of Congress.
That’s why I was proud to vote for a $15 minimum wage, which the House of Representatives recently passed. That’s why I’ve introduced the BOOST Act, which provides no-, low- and middle-income families with guaranteed income to support our families―along with many other bills to lift up everyday people in my district and across the country.
Split a contribution to my campaign and DFA today to advance our shared progressive agenda that raises the wages of working families, embraces immigrants, and holds Trump accountable to the American people.
I will always be a proud activist, and together we will never back down in the face of hate. We're here to stay.
Always serving you,
Rashida Tlaib
