Dear John,

Holding our elected officials accountable for the votes they take each year is a cornerstone of our work here at Maine Conservation Voters.

For over two decades, we've published our Environmental Scorecard to let voters across Maine know how their legislators voted on bills and policies that affect our environment, climate, communities, and democracy.

That's why today we're excited to present our legislative scorecard for 2022! Click here to see how your legislators and lawmakers all across Maine stack up >>

VIEW THE SCORECARD

2022 was truly a banner year for important legislative priorities that put Maine's environment first. Thanks to members and supporters like you — and our amazing organizational partners and legislative champions — we stopped the practice of filling Maine’s landfills with out-of-state waste; raised water quality standards for more than 800 miles of rivers and streams; encouraged investments in energy-efficient, affordable, and compact housing; invested in secure and accessible elections; and so much more.

This year, 84 lawmakers earned the title of "Conservation Champion" having scored a full 100% on every vote we scored. Unfortunately, five members of the House scored ZERO — voting against bills that protect our environment, democracy, and communities.

Take a minute to see how your lawmakers scored in 2022 — then please forward this email to your friends and family so they know, too.

Thank you for standing with us as we face consequential threats, seize historic opportunities, and hold our elected officials accountable for their votes. Together, we are bending the arc toward justice and a thriving environment, climate, and democracy in Maine.

With hope and gratitude,

Beth
