TELL CONGRESS: ACT NOW TO SAVE OUR PUBLIC LANDS.

Friends,

We recently contacted you about the Bureau of Land Management’s decision to relocate its headquarters to Colorado with the same oil and gas entities they are charged with regulating. The move forces 220 BLM employees to choose whether to move to the offices in the West, or lose their jobs .

Congress must act swiftly to stop this alarming move that’s designed to force employees out and exploit our public lands. Visit our website, wedrillhq.com , to take action now.

In addition to what is expected to be a mass exodus of institutional knowledge, the new Colorado BLM headquarters will share a building that also houses Chevron, Laramie Energy, and the West Slope Colorado Oil and Gas Association. This only reaffirms what we have long understood: The Trump administration and Sec. Bernhardt are eager to cozy up to extractive resource corporations in an effort to further strengthen their influence over key decisions.

President Trump’s acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney even spilled the beans that the move was intended to gut the agency of career civil servants. He explained, “Now, it’s nearly impossible to fire a federal worker,” and concluded that office relocation conveniently solved that problem because so many employees will opt not to uproot their lives.

The BLM manages some 245 million acres of your public lands and 700 million acres of your resources, meaning there are literally millions of reasons to oppose this brazen attempt to dismantle America’s largest public lands management bureau. We must do everything we can to protect our public lands and Western way of life.

Will you join this fight by visiting our website wedrillhq.com and taking action? We’ve provided an online petition to make it easy.
