John,

This week, we’re celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the 19th Amendment's ratification and Women's Equality Day on Friday. There is no better way to continue to honor this anniversary than by committing to vote in November. Let me explain why.

Kansans were leaders in the women’s rights movement from the start. We were the first state to hold a referendum on Women’s Suffrage. In 1887, the Kansas State Legislature granted women the right to vote in municipal elections, and the following April, we elected the first female mayor in the country.

This week's anniversary is a celebration of how far we've come in the fight for women's equality. But it's also a time to remember the work we still have to do — including continuing to defend our fundamental rights, fighting back against discrimination, closing the pay gap, and supporting women leaders.

Will you join our team in committing to vote for Laura and for progress this November? Please add your name.

Having women on the ticket is about more than just representation. It’s a symbol for our daughters, nieces, and grandchildren to see women can lead and can lead well. One day, it will be them.

Thanks for your support,

Shelbi Dantic
