Friend, I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about tomorrow's primary election in Florida.

In less than 24 hours, Val Demings will become the official Democratic nominee in Florida's Senate race – and her nomination could not come at a more critical moment.

For over a decade now, Val Demings' opponent, Marco Rubio, has proudly been a part of the GOP's assault on reproductive rights. He has gone to dangerous lengths to maintain government control over women's bodies, including: supporting the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and writing a bill to limit women's access to birth control.

And friend, if Republicans take back the Senate in November, there is nothing stopping Marco Rubio and his far-right allies from passing a nationwide abortion ban. Whether or not they get that chance could all come down to THIS race and what you and I do right now.

That's why I'm reaching out to you today – as the former president of Planned Parenthood but also as a woman and mother – to please join me in supporting Congresswoman Val Demings during this final election-year push.

In just a few short weeks, Val Demings will be going head to head with anti-choice extremist Marco Rubio on the ballot, and we need to ensure that she has the resources to defeat him. So please, will you chip in to Val Demings' campaign now so she can expand our pro-choice majority in the Senate, help abolish the filibuster, and finally vote to save abortion rights nationwide?

Thank you,

Cecile Richards
