John -

The Federal Reserve’s most important gathering is happening this week and
our team is planning a series of creative actions to make our voices
heard.

Each year, officials from the Federal Reserve (along with influential
bankers, asset managers, and government officials) gather for the Jackson
Hole Economic Policy Symposium in Wyoming. This event sets important
policy goals and has a huge ripple effect across the entire global
financial system.

So before the event gets started, can you take our quick action today and
help make sure that climate risks are on the agenda? It only takes 30
seconds to send a letter.

[ [link removed] ]Can you send an email to the event organizer, Bill Medley, today urging
him to prioritize climate during the Symposium?

You can customize your message and it will be immediately sent to his
inbox.

Our goal is to tell the leaders at the Symposium that finance policy and
the Fed have to do more to protect the climate, recognize the critical
risk fossil fuel investments pose to our economy, and get on board with
the imperative to keep warming under 1.5 degrees celsius.

From August 25 to 28, we’ll be showing up to peacefully demand action
outside the meeting, but we need your help in these key days leading up to
the event to put pressure on the inside to get climate on the agenda.

Bill Medley is the Public Information Officer of The Federal Reserve Bank
of Kansas City (which is the main organizer of the annual Symposium). They
have a moral obligation to make sure that the Fed prioritizes protecting
our planet and stopping fossil fuel financing during the event.

[ [link removed] ]Please send your letter to Bill Medley now and it will be delivered
immediately to his inbox.

The Federal Reserve is supposed to protect the stability of the US
economy, and the financial well-being of all Americans, and there’s no
bigger threat to our economy than the worsening impacts of the climate
crisis.

The Federal Reserve must take strong action to end fossil fuel financing
and promote investment in a sustainable, green economy for all, with a
particular focus on the frontline communities most impacted.

[ [link removed] ]Send your letter today and together we can demand that climate be the
central priority at this meeting and make clear that we expect an end to
fossil fuel financing.
