Hi John, it’s Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan’s 49th governor, and I want to tell you a bit about myself. Before I begin, I’m up for a tough fight this election, and I’m asking you to contribute $5 to help me win this race.

I’m a lifelong Michigander who is focused on getting things done that will make a difference in people’s lives. I’ve served as a prosecutor, state legislator, and now Governor of Michigan. But my most important role is mom.

Both my daughters, Sherry and Sydney, are students at the University of Michigan, and we can’t forget about our favorite First Dogs of Michigan, Kevin and Doug!

Inspired by my family, I've devoted my life to building a stronger Michigan for all – remaining focused on doing the right things for the people of Michigan.
