We have a lot of work to do over the next 78 days to educate and inform voters of Jahana’s work. This is a purple district, equally split between Democrat and Republican voters. We have to talk to everyone – liberal or conservative, unaffiliated or independent – about Jahana’s record and what she stands for.

Republican candidates here in Connecticut and across the country might tell voters they are moderate – but they are not allowed to be anything less than partisan extremists once they get to Washington. Primaries all over the country – and right here in Connecticut – prove that every single day.

The truth is, there is no such thing as a moderate Republican anymore. Voters have to know the truth about today’s Republican Party. We saw what happened to Liz Cheney, who with even the most conservative voting record, was seen as disloyal and voted out of office for standing up for our democracy.

National, radical right-wing groups are working harder than ever to unseat Jahana in November and turn CT-05 into Trump territory. If they succeed, the House will flip to Republican control.

And despite whatever these pledged “moderates” said on the campaign trail, they will vote for a nationwide abortion ban, the end of Social Security as we know it, and the rest of the extreme right-wing agenda the second they get the gavel. They have already promised to do so.

This is the Republican Party today. So, will you donate to help keep Jahana in this seat and keep sensible, civil leaders in Washington?

The GOP has already shown us who they are. They said they would overturn Roe. They did. They voted against health care for veterans. They are at odds with the vast majority of Americans on contraception, climate change, marriage equality, and so much more. Given the chance, they’ll roll back all the progress we’ve made over the last 50 years.
