John — Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick claims to be a “moderate” Republican and an independent voice in Congress, but his record does nothing to back it up.

Time and time again, Fitzpatrick has either stayed silent or refused to take a stand on issues concerning our democracy and freedom.

Exhibit A: After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Fitzpatrick put out a long-winded statement filled with empty platitudes:

“This issue, as sensitive as it is, must be approached in this same manner. With empathy, with understanding, and with compassion. I urge all state legislatures, including in my own state of Pennsylvania, to follow this lead. Support two-party solutions. Reject single-party solutions. Build bridges, don’t drive wedges.”

If you’re not sure what that statement means, you’re not alone. Frankly, it’s unacceptable that his response to one of the most important SCOTUS decisions in recent history amounts to word salad.

Exhibit B: Over the past year, Fitzpatrick’s voting record shows him rejecting popular legislation that most Americans support. Take a look at the bills Fitzpatrick voted against:

→ Inflation Reduction Act
→ American Rescue Plan
→ Formation of the bipartisan Jan. 6 committee
→ Women’s Health Protection Act
→ Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act

In conclusion: Fitzpatrick hides behind his so-called moderate image so he doesn't have to pick a side when it matters most, even if that results in threats to our fundamental rights and democracy.

Fitzpatrick’s time is up. This November, we have an opportunity to replace him with a bold, fearless leader. Chip in to Ashley’s campaign today to help her win!
