Folks:

I want to make sure you have the facts on my far-right opponent, Kari Lake, when it comes to the right to a safe, legal abortion.

• Kari Lake has voiced support for Arizona’s Civil War-era abortion law — which criminalizes abortion in our state — calling it “great.”
• She has said that abortion pills should not be legal.
• She has promised that as governor, she would sign extreme anti-abortion legislation into law “in a heartbeat.”

That is where Kari Lake stands. Now, I want to be very clear about where I stand on this issue:

I am unwavering in my support of reproductive freedom. As Arizona’s next governor, I will use my veto pen to block any legislation that further compromises the right to choose. And I will do everything in my power to secure women’s rights for the next generation.

This is the choice we face in November — electing governors who will protect our freedoms or who will dismantle them. If you believe we need governors who will defend the fundamental right to choose, I hope you’ll pitch in today to support my campaign and Governor Steve Sisolak in Nevada:

As we saw earlier this month in Kansas, people across the country are fed up with partisan attempts to strip us of our right to make our own choices. In November, we have a chance to send the same powerful message here in Arizona — but we can’t do it without your help.
