Instead I have to beg lawmakers to act like their own child or their own loved one was taken by gun violence.

So, I’m standing with Ban Assault Weapons NOW -- founded by grieving family members from the Parkland and Pulse communities -- to unseat Ron DeSantis who has failed us time and time again.

But we can’t do this alone. We need 1,029 gifts before our critical deadline tomorrow to defeat DeSantis and fund candidates running against him. It’s never been more critical to stand up to our corrupt Governor and eliminate assault weapons for good. Can I count on your $15 in the next 24 hours? After four years of empty promises, and thoughts and prayers, Governor DeSantis has still failed to take action to stop gun violence from devastating our communities.

And it shows: 2,849 people every year are stolen from Florida communities by gun violence.

Frankly, if we don’t elect leaders who have the guts to take a stand against the gun lobby, we will never see an end to the bloodshed caused by gun violence.

But DeSantis will stop at nothing -- including spending millions -- to stay in power and keep weapons of mass destruction on the streets.

Together we can fight back against Ron DeSantis, end gun violence, and ban assault weapons once and for all.
