Last week, I asked you to double your impact by supporting Groundwork and Dirt Road PAC. Both of our entities are on a mission to funnel resources to organizers on the ground in states viewed as too red for national attention.

We both know that these places are the true battlegrounds in the fight for our democracy. The ones that are home to our country’s most destructive policies that have a ripple effect nationwide.

Today, I wanted to flag that we are entering a new phase of the election year. Primary season is ending and the general election is around the corner. In fact, tomorrow is primary day in our partner state of Oklahoma (!!) which means this week all our partner states will officially be in general election mode.

Yes, Groundwork is focused on the long game and doesn’t set its clock to the electoral calendar, but that doesn’t change the fact that the heat is turning up in our partner states. And we’ve been working to set up a foundation to meet this moment.

We know that organizers on the ground are planning get out the vote (GOTV) actions leading into November and programs like our mini-grants will be there ready to help them expand their activities for greater impact.

As a reminder: our mini-grants are awarded in contributions up to $2,000 and are designed to give a needed boost to short-term and specific needs on the ground, from volunteer training programs to GOTV events and new technology. Any organization in our partner states can apply!
