I was born and raised in Westchester. My great grandfather's milk delivery route tracked through Scarsdale and White Plains. After my father abandoned the family when I was just an infant, my mother and grandmother grabbed the reins and provided for our family.
My mother was a public school science teacher in White Plains, my grandmother a nurse. And both of them showed me the meaning of hard work and the rewards that come with it. I got my first job at the age of 13 and haven’t stopped working since. That’s the kind of work ethic you’ll get from me. I won’t stop until I can deliver results.
I know what it's like to struggle. I know what it feels like to look adversity in the eye. I know how you can overcome any challenge, because I’ve gone through my fair share. My experiences have provided me the tools to succeed and I’ve spent a lifetime sharing those tools for others to lift themselves up.
It’s why I’m asking for your vote tomorrow. To send a woman to Washington who believes in the same things you do, who has fought hard for equality and equity within our institutions, and who has a proven track record of delivering results.
When you go vote tomorrow, ask yourself who is the best person to represent your values, fight for your issues, and never stop until we see results. I believe I am that candidate.
Thank you for the incredible support from thousands of residents across this district. It would be the honor of a lifetime to represent you and I cannot wait to get to work.
LFG,
Catherine
