At OCPAC:
THE CHINA THREAT
ALEX GRAY
TRUMP WHITEHOUSE
| |
Trump's Chief of Staff for the National Security Council (NSC) was at the center of discussions about international affairs including the way in which China fits into the future of the U.S.
Alex Gray spent four yeas inside the Trump Whitehouse travelling the world at the President's side. Alex was in the room with the President during some of the biggest counterterrorism operations in the Trump Presidency.
|
It was Alex Gray who carried out the biggest reorganization of the NSC in living memory, insuring that only competent and loyal professionals were entrusted with some of the country’s most sensitive jobs.
Alex is the recipient of the second-highest civilian award from the Department of Defense and the highest award from the National Security Council for his service to the country under President Trump.
Come Wednesday to hear details from inside the Trump White House about the threat posed by the Chinese to the future of the free world.

TRANSFORMING NORMAN:
MAYOR'S REPORT AT OCPAC
| |
Last Thursday, the Journal Record ran a headline:
For Norman, OU’s SEC move is a game-changer
Visiting fans from big universities are
expected to spur economic growth
Chip Minty, Owner of Minty Communications, wrote the article. He stated, “when the OU Sooners finally join the Southeastern Conference in 2025, the masses will descend on Norman … The SEC has a kennel full of big dogs, and all those dogs have fans who like to travel because national championships are usually on the line.”
| |
Norman’s leaders from all sectors are gushing. Calls from all over the U.S. have them contemplating imminent prospects for future economic and cultural explosion.
The impact of the SEC will spill over to Norman’s surrounding cities including Oklahoma City and Edmond. The heightened level of weekly competition will mean an increased number of nationally televised games.
When Larry Heikkila speaks to us this Wednesday, he will discuss the many demands for development Norman is responding to because of the move to the SEC. There are now calls for a number of additional full-service hotels, more restaurants, and the expansion of entertainment venues to occupy visitors before and after the big games.
| |
One investment group is talking
about spending $400 Million.
Mayor Heikkila hopes the influx of out-of-state corporate interests may lay a foundation for a more promising job market for our state’s graduating seniors. Judging from the enrollment impact of SEC membership at Texas A&M, O.U. could see an increased enrollment of 10,000 to 15,000 all of whom will be seeking employment.
|
Larry Heikkila is Norman’s 61st Mayor.
He is a devout Christian and will seek divine
wisdom as he shepherds Oklahoma’s
third-largest city into its future.

Last Wednesday, The Oklahoman published an opinion piece by Amy Curran criticizing the passage of HB 1775 and its ban on the teaching of racism in Oklahoma secondary and higher education.
Specifically, she complained about the recent disciplinary action taken by the Oklahoma State Board of Education (SBE) to downgrade the accreditation of the Tulsa Public School System (TPS).
I spoke about this in some detail two weeks ago. You may find that article here.
|
Amy Curran is a member of the left-leaning Oklahoma Civic Learning Coalition’s Steering Committee (OCLC).
Unlike the OCLC, our OCPAC readers were enthusiastic that our state board chose to sanction TPS for violating HB 1775.
Of course, the teacher’s union (NEA/OEA) and Oklahoma's Democrat Superintendent of Public Instruction, Joy Hofmeister, disagreed. So does Amy Curran.
For The Oklahoman, she wrote:
|
This unprecedented, incredibly concerning move will have a chilling effect on educators throughout the state.
It will no doubt lead to teachers engaging in self-censorship out of fear of state retaliation, and will silence important classroom conversations that help all students meaningfully engage with their community …
... HB 1775 severely restricts public school teachers and students from learning and talking about race and gender in the classroom …
... we strongly support the students and educators who have filed suit in federal district court challenging the constitutionality of this censorship law.
|
One of the things the disciples of the Frankfurt School and their fellow Marxists are very good at is mischaracterizing reality and redefining words and phrases. I might want to be on the Amy Curran band wagon except, as it turns out, it is she and her leftist ilk who want to silence free speech and the healthy exchange of ideas, and not the Oklahoma Legislature.
I know a teacher in the Norman Public School system who thinks that HB 1775 does everything Amy Curran just said. Clearly, not all teachers are reading the bill. Instead, some simply believe what the NEA and the OEA is telling them.
| |
HB 1775 very simply forbids, in 168 words, the teaching
of the following eight reprehensible and racist ideas:
a. one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex,
b. an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously,
c. an individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex,
d. members of one race or sex cannot and should not attempt to treat others without respect to race or sex,
e. an individual’s moral character is necessarily determined by his or her race or sex,
f. an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex,
g. any individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex, or
h. meritocracy or traits such as a hard work ethic are racist or sexist or were created by members of a particular race to oppress members of another race.
Read the bill here.
| The Oklahoman’s opinion piece, like the rhetoric of the NEA and OEA, presents a classic example of Orwell’s Newspeak. When the above comments are read in context of the eight “Thou Shalt Nots” of HB 1775, it is clear that she speaks with the fictitious rhetoric of the totalitarian state Orwell warned us of. | Sir Roger Scruton is widely seen as one of the greatest conservative thinkers of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. He was a fellow of the British Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He taught in both England and America and was a Visiting Professor at Department of Philosophy and Fellow of Blackfriars Hall, Oxford, he was also a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, Washington D.C. | |
Perhaps as an act of divine mercy, he died in January, 2020 at the outbreak of COVID, BLM, CRT, and a host of other viruses which placed mankind in political bondage.
Sir Roger never read Oklahoma’s HB 1775. However, when he published Fools, Frauds, and Firebrands in 2015, he certainly had in his rifle-sights the reprehensible education model which the national teacher’s union (NEA) has foisted upon Oklahoma’s universities and secondary education.
The title itself rests comfortably on our Christian minds and the book has received high praise for its devastating critique of the voices emanating from today’s left-wing education and political communities which now haunt our universities, our kindergartens, and all the precious little children in between.
|
Fools, Frauds, and Firebrands explains how the political left can read the eight very understandable “Thou Shalt Nots” of HB 1775 and say of them that they will, to quote the complaint again, have a “chilling effect on educators throughout the state … [will] lead to teachers engaging in self-censorship out of fear of state retaliation, and will silence important classroom conversations that help all students meaningfully engage with their community … [will severely restrict] public school teachers and students from learning and talking about race and gender in the classroom.”
IT IS ALL NEWSPEAK!
|
Scranton states of Newspeak, “We owe the term ‘Newspeak’ to George Orwell’s chilling portrait of a fictitious totalitarian state … Newspeak occurs whenever the primary purpose of language – which is to describe reality – is replaced by the rival purpose of assuring power over it.”
Historian and lecturer at the University of Paris Sorbonne, Francoise Thom, spoke clearly about the purpose of Newspeak in her La langue de bois, stating, with a touch of irony and sarcasm, that Newspeak’s purpose is “to protect ideology from malicious attacks of real things.”
| |
All of this underlines the importance of the election of Ryan Walters as the next Superintendent of Public Instruction in Oklahoma. The teacher’s union, an advocate of all things unholy and corrupt, has spent well over $1 million dollars to elect their candidate, April Grace.
April Grace is the failed superintendent of Shawnee Schools I wrote about last week. April Grace presides over a set of schools in the bottom half of Oklahoma’s already bankrupt educational system.
I wrote about the failures of Superintendent April Grace and the Shawnee School System in last week's newsletter. Read it here.
Last spring, Senator Shane Jett held a press conference to allow the complaints of sexual grooming to be heard. Parents and students spoke about years of sexual debauchery in the schools and complain about its having been protected by April Grace.
| This Wednesday, we will continue to look at the work being done nationally and locally in the battle to recover the Christian West and the decency, culture, civility, and godliness which accompanies that as we hear from former Trump White House staffer Alex Gray and Norman’s new Mayor, Larry Heikkila. |
We are in desperate need of returning
our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.
Thank you for your activism.
