Meet our 2022 Care Fellows!

John,

When it comes to giving and receiving care, we’re in this together. It takes all of us – as one big community across the country – to make quality care more affordable for our loved ones and communities.

Caring Across Generations wholeheartedly believes in the power of organizing. The more people who come into the Caring Majority, the stronger our movement becomes.

🚨 That’s why we’re so excited to announce our 2022 Care Fellows. 🚨

For the next several months, our newest group of 80 Fellows will meet with elected leaders to advocate for care policies, make sure care is on the ballot in the upcoming Midterms, and speak to journalists to shift society’s understanding of caregiving.

Meet the Fellows now!

Text reads MEET THE 2022 CARING ACROSS GENERATIONS CARE FELLOWS!

Our current Fellows represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences and are from all across the country – including states like Illinois, Georgia, and California, where we’re organizing on the ground. And with this year's pivotal mid-term elections fast approaching, the Fellows will use education and events to ensure that care is on the ballot across the country.

Since 2019, the Caring Across fellowship program has offered six months of leadership and skill development for current and former caregivers, older adults, and people with disabilities from around the country.

This year, we received over 300 applications! Thank you to everyone who applied.

We created the Fellowship with the understanding that people power is a necessary component to creating long term change – and holds that caregivers should speak for themselves about the individual challenges they face and solutions to those challenges.

Every time we come together to share our caregiving stories to the media or send a message to a local leader to act on the current care crisis, we get closer to a more caring future for all.

Former Fellows have become leaders in the care advocacy space, and several have joined the team at Caring Across full-time (including me!).

We’re incredibly proud of our Fellowship program and the leaders it develops. Meet the Fellows and keep up with their progress by reading about them on our site.

With care,

Aisha Adkins, Constituency Organizer
Caring Across Generations
